If your practice was a child of Coaching, what characteristics would it be demonstrating?
Is there a bit of the newborn about it – craving affirmation, love or food (cash if it’s a business)?
Does it have toddler qualities – into everything, wanting to explore the next exciting thing that it notices?
Is it a bit like a teenager, questioning the orthodoxy that Coaching handed down to it when it was trained in the essential life skills of being a coach?
To what extent is it more like a mature adult which has found its place in the world and is recognised by others for who it is?
Or has it some of the qualities of an elder statesperson – a source of respected wisdom that others seek out from time to time?

Coaching practices – whether a businesses or an approach used in the workplace – don’t necessarily go through these as consecutive stages. So whilst you may not define your practice in terms of a particular life stage, you can probably see some of the described characteristics.
Join Geoff and Steve for a convivial and insightful conversation to develop a better understanding of where your coaching practice is, what it needs, what it might want more or less of, how far it has come, and where it could go in the future.

As ever, we will have a general update around all things Coaching York and space for your to raise any burning issues of your own.
We will be located in the upstairs meeting room or the snug. Please buy a drink and/or food to support the Royal Oak’s generosity with the room.
